(Des Moines) The 89th General Assembly convened on Monday, January 10th.
Iowa House District 21 Representative Tom Moore said the Legislative Body heard the opening remarks from Speaker Grassley where he highlighted the strength in Iowa’s economy.
Moore said Tuesday was spent attending two committee meetings and HR harassment training.
Moore said the three bills he was assigned to spearhead include HSB 513: a bill that would eliminate the Medicaid preferred drug list program quarterly savings report requirement; HSB 506: Relates to the reenrollment following a member’s termination from the Iowa health and wellness plan; and HSB 504: Handles the identity authentication requirements for public assistance benefits.
Moore also noted that on Thursday the General Assembly heard from Major General Benjamin J. Corell who gave the Condition of the Iowa National Guard.
