Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management says Guthrie County experienced major damage and power outages throughout most of the northern two tiers of townships, City of Bagley, City of Bayard, City of Guthrie Center and City of Panora. Adair County experienced minor damages and power outages.
Currently, volunteers are out doing damage assessments, which will take most of the day. To help speed up the process, please contact the EMA Office at 641-332-3030. They will ask your name, address, type of damage you received and if you are insured. If the phone is busy, please leave a message with your information.
The National Weather Service is also doing surveys to rate last night’s tornados and straight-line winds.
