(Atlantic) The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch for 18 counties in southwest and west-central Iowa until 8:00 p.m. this evening. Strong to severe storms are likely this afternoon, including wind gusts over 70-to-80 miles per hour, with a few tornadoes possible. Forecasters say the storms will develop quickly and could move up to 85-miles.

Adair, Adams, Audubon, Carroll, Cass, Crawford, Fremont, Guthrie, Harrison, Madison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Ringgold, Shelby, Taylor, and Union.
