(Council Bluffs) The Atlantic/CAM wrestling team placed 16th at the Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic. 170 pound senior earned an individual championship in the gold bracket with three pins and a technical fall. Stutzman improves his record to 16-0.
Other individual place winners for Atlantic in the gold bracket were Aiden Smith and Ethan Follmann. Smith placed 5th at 106 pounds. The freshman picked up two pins in the tournament and moves to 14-3 on the season. Follmann is 13-4 after a 7th place finish at 132. He won a 13-4 major decision in the 7th place match.
Elsewhere for the Trojans Cruz Weaver was 15th at 120, Easton O’Brien 20th at 138, Brian South 11th at 145, Tanner O’Brien 18th at 152, Jarrett Armstrong 15th at 182, Brenden Casey 15th at 195, Miles Mundorf 18th at 220, and Nathan Keiser 14th at 285.
Brandon Valley, SD won the tournament with 562.5 points followed by Millard South, NE and Underwood. Waukee Northwest and Papillion-La Vista, NE rounded out the top five teams.
