(Bedford) Bedford/Lenox, West Central Valley, and Nodaway Valley/O-M finished as the top three teams Saturday at the Bedford/Lenox Invitational. Bedford/Lenox put five wrestlers in the final and had individual champion Jake Cox at 182. They scored 183 points.
Just three points separated the next three teams with West Central Valley tallying 159, Nodaway Valley/O-M scoring 158, and SW Valley posted 156. Nodaway Valley/O-M’s Elliot Cooney tied Mario Galanakis the program’s career record for pins. Cooney won the 132 pound title. At 138 pounds Jaxon Christensen also won an individual crown. Trenton Warner was 2nd and 285 as was Zackery Gebbie at 126. Placing 3rd was Brandon Raasch at 182. Kasen Hansen (113), Bradley Gebbie (120), Jevin Christensen (152), Carmine Shaw (160), Dax Kintigh (195), and Charles Rudolf (220) all placed 5th.
