(Griswold) Riverside forced several early turnovers to jump on top of Griswold 6-0 and finished the night with a 38-27 victory over the Tigers.
Macy Woods and Elly Henderson each scored eight points in the win for the Lady Dawgs. They used a 13-4 advantage in the 2nd quarter to take control of the game. A 6-2 spurt moved the lead to double figures midway through the 2nd quarter and Griswold never got back any closer than 11 after halftime.
The Tigers were led by McKenna Wiechman’s 18 points. A pair of 3-pointers from Weichman prevented Riverside from blowing the game wide open.
Riverside gets their first win of the season while Griswold falls to 1-2.
