(Greenfield) Clarinda sent six wrestlers to the finals on their way to a team championship at the Coach Riley Invitational hosted by Nodaway Valley on Saturday. Logan Green (285), Jase Wilmes (195), Kale Downey (145), and Kaden Whipp (106) won individual titles for the Cardinals.
Nodaway Valley/O-M placed 4th in their home tourney. The Wolverines had the 138 pound champion with Jaxon Christensen and 182 pound champ with Caelen DeVault. Zackery Gebbie (126) and Elliot Cooney (132) each finished as a runner-up. Heavyweight Trenton Warner placed 3rd.
AHSTW was 5th out of 13 teams. 152 pound freshman Kayden Baxter won the 152 pound weight class for the Vikings. Garrison Gettler took 2nd at 160. Hayden Fischer (145), Denver Pauley (170), and Henry Lund (220) all placed 3rd.
Tegan Slaybaugh’s runner-up showing at 120 led ACGC’s 10th place team finish. Gavin Sloss was 3rd at 113. Cayden Jensen (160), Dawson Muller (170), Bryce Rochholz (195), and Payton Jacobe (285) all placed 5th.
