(US Virgin Islands) A go ahead bucket by Ryan Nembhard as time expired gave Creighton a 66-64 victory over Southern Illinois in the 3rd place game of the Paradise Jam on Monday.
Nembhard was one of three starters in double figures with his 12 points on 5/8 shooting. Ryan Kalkbrenner had 14 points, five rebounds, and five blocks. Atlantic alum Ryan Hawkins posted 13 points, six rebounds, and one assist in 34 minutes of action. Hawkins hit 4/9 from the field including 3/6 beyond the arc.
Creighton is 5-1 on the season and will play SIU Edwardsville on Saturday.
