(Des Moines, IA) — Police in Des Moines report an arrest in the deadly shooting of a Nebraska woman in a local bar. Officers say 26-year-old Nyamal Deng of Omaha was shot in the neck October 10th at the High Dive bar and died in the hospital Tuesday. Detectives arrested 33-year-old Wichang Gach Chawech of Des Moines for first-degree murder, attempted murder, willful injury and intimidation with a weapon. Chawech is also accused of shooting a 27-year-old man who was treated and released.
