(Cass County) The last day to vote early in the Cass County Auditor’s Office is November 1st.
VOTING IN VOTER’S VEHICLE: In accordance with Chapter 49.53 of the Iowa Code, any voter who is physically unable to enter the polling place, including the Cass County Auditor’s office, has the right to vote in the voter’s vehicle.
REGISTRATION FOR IN PERSON VOTING AT AUDITOR’S OFFICE BEFORE NOVEMBER 2: All voters are required to be registered in Cass County in order to vote in Cass County. If a voter is not already registered, that voter may register on the day they want to vote early, and vote as soon as registered. See IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED for additional information regarding registering and voting early in person.
IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED. All voters are required to provide an approved form of identification at the voting site on November 2 and when absentee voting at the auditor’s office. [Voters who were not pre-registered – such as voters registering to vote early in person after October 18 or who vote on election day; and voters who have changed precincts will also be required to provide proof of residence. A voter who cannot provide proof of identification and residence, may have their identity attested to by another voter registered in the precinct who has an approved form of identification. A person who is eligible to register to vote, may register on election day by appearing in person at the voting site for the precinct in which the individual resides. The voter must complete a voter registration application, sign a written oath and provide acceptable proof of identity and acceptable proof of residence. Acceptable documents which can be used as proof of identity and proof of residence are very specific and substitutes will not be accepted.
