(Corning) One of the topics discussed at the statewide Superintendents meeting is the teacher shortages.
Southwest Valley Schools Superintendent Chris Fenster said the state is struggling to find new teachers to enter the profession.
Fenster said they are looking at alternate pathways for people to get educated and they want to find more people that actually want to get into the education profession.
In other news, Fenster said they received word from the Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association that Allen Naugle was named the Southwest Iowa Middle School Athletic Director of the Year.
Fenster also noted that Allen Naugle informed him that on January 11th the basketball teams will face Mount Ayr and they have moved that game to Wells Fargo Arena.
