(Elk Horn) Exira-EHK needs a win on Friday to keep any slim playoff hopes alive. The 3-3 Spartans entertain 4-2 Boyer Valley.
Exira-EHK coach Tom Petersen shares this take on the Bulldogs. “What I see on film is a very, very physical football team. They have a lot of size throughout their lineup. They are obviously a really good football team.”
Boyer Valley’s only losses are to Audubon and Ar-We-Va. The Spartans are coming off of a 66-6 loss at CAM last week. “We were in position to make plays. When you’re going up against an athlete like Lane Spieker, you can have kids there, but unfortunately it just happens. I was happy with what we did defensively. I realize the scoreboard probably doesn’t show that, but overall I thought our kids played pretty well on defense.”
Trey Petersen continues to excel for the Exira-EHK offense with 840 passing yards and 381 rushing yards on the season. Braxton Marxen leads the defense with 29 tackles.
