(Atlantic) The Atlantic Park and Rec. Department held a public meeting on Monday evening to gather feedback from attendees on what improvements or enhancements they wanted at the Atlantic Municipal Pool.
Atlantic Park and Rec. Director Bryant Rasmussen said four different companies walked through the pool to look at the various options, whether a splash pad or other upgrades.
The ideas ranged from; water park features, fountains, slides, shallow water amenities, additional furniture and shade, Lazy River, heater upgrades to allow the pool to open earlier, and more.
Atlantic City Clerk Barb Barrick marked the ideas on several sheets of paper, 12 attendees voted using stickers- ranked the ideas from top to bottom, and Barrick tallied up the votes.
Rasmussen will send the ideas to the park board to give them a better idea of what people want to improve the Sunnyside Pool and how it fits the plans drawn up from the various companies.
