(Atlantic) The Atlantic Fire Departments’ annual breakfast kicks off Fire Prevention Week on Sunday, October 3, from 7:00 a.m. to noon at the Atlantic Fire Station.
Atlantic volunteer fireman Jake Vetter says the department is looking forward to serving the public after taking a year off due to COVID-19 Mitigation efforts. He says the breakfast includes coffee, pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon. Vetter says the breakfast is offered to the public for a free-will donation. “The annual breakfast helps offset some of the parade expenses, said Vetter, and serves as a fundraiser for some much-needed equipment. “We are hoping to purchase some battery-powered extrication equipment, and we might have this equipment on display for the public to view.”
Vetter says the breakfast will be ready to serve at 7:00 a.m. until noon at the Atlantic Fire Station.
