(Ames) Iowa State bounced back from their loss to Baylor in a big way. The Cyclones defeated Kansas in blowout fashion 59-7 on Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.
Brock Purdy got off to a red hot start and finished the night with 245 yards on 17/22 completions for four touchdowns. Breece Hall posted 123 yards and two TD’s on 17 carries. Xavier Hutchinson caught seven passes for 96 yards and a score.
Iowa State is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big 12 standings. Their next game isn’t until October 16th at Kansas State.
