Clarinda sweeps Red Oak Cross Country Meet

(Red Oak) Clarinda placed four girls in the top five at Red Oak on Monday. Mayson Hartley won the race in 20:04 and Raenna Henke took runner-up with a time of 21:59. Ashlyn Eberly ran 3rd for the Cardinals.

Riverside Becca Cody clocked a 24:36 to place 4th. Also in the top ten for the Lady Dawgs was Macy Woods in 10th with a time of 26:10.

CAM put two runners in the top 25 with Carley Dennis 16th and Lyndesy Chaney 23rd.

Red Oak’s Baylor Bergren won the boy’s race in 18:43. Clarinda’s Kyle Wagoner and Treyton Schaapherder were the next two runners to cross the finish line. The Cardinals placed six runners in the top 15.

Shenandoah had three top ten finishers to place 2nd in the team scoring. Alex Razee and Mitchell Jones went 4-5 for the Mustangs.

Riverside finished 3rd with 108 points. Mason McCready led the Bulldogs in 8th. Eric Duhacheck ran 14th, Dalton Smith 27th, and Clayton Spies 28th.

Red Oak and CAM rounded out the top five boys teams. CAM’s top finisher was Gavin Clayton in 17th. Carson Cary placed 29th for the Cougars.
