Glenwood Cross Country earns sweep at Lewis Central

(Council Bluffs) The Glenwood girls put four runners in the top eight and won the team title Saturday at Lewis Central. The Rams finished one point ahead of Harlan. Madelyn Berglund ran 3rd, Rachel Mullennax 5th, Breckyn Petersen 6th, and Riley Wiese 8th.

Harlan had the top two individuals with champion Lindsey Sonderman in 20:15 and runner-up Kaia Bieker in 21:03. Ellie Gross and Jenna Gessert were also in the top 15 for the Cyclones with Gross 9th and Gessert 15th.

The Glenwood boys had three in the top ten and won the team title by a nine point margin over Lewis Central. The Rams were led by a 3rd place run for Bryant Keller and 7th place finish from Liam Hays. Lewis Central’s Ethan Eichhorn was the boys individual champ with a time of 16:58.
