(Guthrie Center) ACGC brings a solid running attack into the homecoming game against Des Moines, Christian, on Friday night. The (2-0) Charges have rushed for 846-yards in the first two games, for an average of 7.3 yards per carry.
Gavin Cornelison leads the rushing attack with 51 carries for 460 yards, Charlie Crawford, 144 yards, and Brock Littler, 137 yards.
As successful as the ground game has been, ACGC Head Coach Cody Matthewson says it may be time to become a little more diversified on offense. Through the first two games, ACGC has thrown the ball just eight times. As the season wears along, he knows his team will need to add some pass plays to the playbook.

The Lions have a balanced attack on offense, with 296 yards passing and 263 yards rushing. Quarterback Tyler Martin has completed 48-percent of his passes to eight different targets.
Des Moines, Christian lost to Pella Christian, 56-22 in week one, and shut out Des Moines, Hoover last week, 45-0. ACGC defeated Greene County 28-26 in week one, topped Woodward-Granger, 62-6.
