(Shenandoah) Harlan placing five runners in the top ten captured the team title at the Shenandoah Cross Country meet on Tuesday. The Cyclones scored 32 points, Atlantic second with 48, edging out Clarinda by one point.
Lindsey Sonderman finished third to lead the Cyclones, Kaia Bieker finished, fifth, Elle Gross, sixth, Taylor Bieker, eighth, and Jenna Gessert was tenth.
Atlantic’s Ava Rush won the individual title in 20:08.44, Mayson Hartley, of Clarinda was second, Sonderman, third, Claire Pellett, Atlantic, fourth, Kaia Bieker, fifth, Gross, sixth, Raenna Henke, Clarinda, seventh, Taylor Bieker, eighth, Ashlyn Eberly, Clarinda, ninth, and Gessert, tenth.
Besides Rush and Pellett’s top-five finish, Belle Berg, finished 11th, Hailey Huffman, 15th, and Faith Altman, 17th. Mariah Huffman was 20th, and Claire Wiederstein, 22nd.
