ACGC boys place four in top ten and win at SE Valley

(Guthrie Center) ACGC got their 2021 boys cross country season off to a dominant start on Thursday at SE Valley. The Chargers won the meet with a total of just 34 points.

Trevin Suhr raced to the individual title in a time of 17:01.  He was 1:23 ahead of the runner-up. Teammates Justin Reinhart, Gavin Sloss, and Andrew Mahaffey joined him in the top ten. The team’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th runners were all under 19:00. The Chargers also had Noah Kading, Bo Arrasmith, and Lance Bunde all place in the top 15.

The ACGC girls got a stellar debut from freshman Ava Campbell. She clocked a 22:17 and finished as the runner-up, just a fraction of a second behind individual champ Alyssa Richman (Manson NW Webster). Mia Ocheltree and Katelyn Schafer ran back-t0-back at 21 and 22. Kiersten Knobbe came in 31st.
