Nolan Joseph, son of Douglas and Pamela (Madsen) Parker, was born February 24, 1994, in Atlantic, Iowa. He grew up in Elk Horn and was with the first graduating class of Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton High School in 2012. During high school he played baseball, basketball and golf.
After high school, Nolan held various positions with Panama Transfer, Agriland, Coca Cola and Andersen Farms. He recently told his family that he truly wanted to farm.
Nolan was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. He enjoyed playing slow pitch and racing sport compact cars at the Harlan and Denison racetracks. His real passion was golf. With his “Goofy” grin, Nolan would lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He was a fun-loving uncle and an amazing brother.
On Monday, August 23, 2021, Nolan passed away, much too young, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He was 27 years, 5 months and 29 days of age.
Nolan was preceded in death by his grandparents Roger and JoAnn Parker. He is survived by his parents Douglas and Pamela Parker of Elk Horn; a sister Mallory Androy and husband Jordan of Dunlap; two nephews Braxton and Brayden Androy; his grandmother Patty Lauritsen of Kimballton; his grandfather Earl Madsen and wife Lynn of Temple, Texas; and by aunts, uncles, several cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Nolan passed away on Monday August 23, 2021, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Ohde Funeral Home in Kimballton is in charge of arrangements.
