63rd Annual Tournament of Champions won by Ross Martens

(Atlantic) Ross Martens erased a one stroke deficit with a three-under par 66 to win the Tournament of Champions. Martens finished with a three day total of 204, winning by four strokes over runner-up Zach Christianson. Placing 3rd with a 209 was Ben Renaud.

In addition to Sunday’s 66, Martens shot 71 in the opening round and a two-under par 67 on Saturday at Atlantic Golf and Country Club. Martens, of River Valley Golf Course, was the only golfer in the entire field to post multiple rounds under par.

Del Miller topped the senior division with a three day total of 215. Miller shot 71 on Friday, 74 on Saturday, and 70 on Sunday. Ron Peterson also shot a 215 and took runner-up honors. Darron Baker was a stroke back and settled for 3rd.

Taking the super senior division was Rick Thompson by one stroke over John Willmore. Thompson went 72-75-67 (214). Willmore went 75-71-69 (215). 3rd place was Arnie Leistad with a 218.
