(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors approved two appointments at their meeting this morning.
Mary Robinson was appointed as a member of the Cass County Board of Health for the remainder of the term ending December 31, 2023. Kipp Harris was reappointed to the County Compensation Board. The County Compensation Board recommends the annual compensation of the elected county officials: Attorney, Auditor, Board of Supervisors, Recorder, Sheriff and Treasurer.
The Supervisors are still looking to fill a vacancy of persons eligible to serve for Condemnation in Eminent Domain proceedings; vacancy position should be a resident of Cass County who is a city/town property owner. Another member needs to be appointed the serve on the Cass County Compensation Board and one person needs appointed to the County Conservation Board to fill the vacancy term ending December 31, 2022.
In other news, Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken said work will begin on a box culvert project on Victoria Road Wednesday.
Wolken said the project is expected to be completed around October 15th.
