(Dyersville, IA) — Organizers of Thursday’s Field of Dreams game say visitors from all over the world will be arriving in Dyersville this week.
The contest between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees will be the first Major League Baseball regular-season game ever played in Iowa. Local businesses and residents are preparing for hundreds of visitors. One business owner says the Field of Dreams does draw a lot of people to the northeast Iowa community, but nothing like what’s coming Thursday.
The locals say they have been preparing for this for months.
