(Adel, IA) — Dallas County and its sheriff are being sued by two security contractors who were arrested two years ago.
Gary DeMercurio and Justin Wynn had been hired by the Iowa judicial system to check courthouse security. The two say they showed a letter of authorization to responding police officers and deputies in Adel, but they were taken into custody anyway.
Their suit seeks damages from the county for the way the situation was handled.
