(Des Moines) The entire state of Iowa is under a Heat Advisory from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. this evening. The National Weather Service says heat index values are expected to reach 107 – degrees. Forecasters advise people to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstance.
