(Atlantic) According to Atlantic School’s Superintendent Steve Barber, the Atlantic Community School’s summer lunch program is in full swing and well attended.
Since the program started in early June, the district is averaging about 120 students per lunch.
“We have a great opportunity to provide breakfast and lunch to anyone from one-year of age to 18 in our community,” stated Barber.
Barber says changes to the program are coming later this month due to maintenance. “We’re painting the Schuler gymnasium the last week in July,” said Barber. “The onsite breakfast and lunch will change to a grab and go from July 26 to July 30.”
The breakfast hour is from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, through July 30.
As a reminder, no breakfast or lunch will be served on Monday, July 5. Service will start up again on Tuesday, July 6.
