(Massena) Two people died and one other was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Cass County this morning.
Iowa State Patrol Trooper Ryan DeVault says just before 10:30 a.m. Troopers, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and multiple fire and rescue personnel responded to Highway 148 south of Oxford Road.
Unit one was a 2013 Fiat 500 driven by 69-year-old Juliana Krauth of Massena with a passenger, 74-year-old David Krauth of Massena. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Unit two was a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta driven by a teen from Massena. The teen was transported to Cass County Memorial Hospital by Cumberland Rescue with minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
