(Atlantic) With the 4th of July quickly approaching, Atlantic residents are reminded of the rules for the legal use of fireworks within city limits.
This year, fireworks are allowed July 2, 3, and, 4th, from noon to 11:00 p.m.
No person under the legal age of 18 shall discharge DOT 1.4 class fireworks without adult supervision. The explosives can only be set off on a person’s private property and bans anyone showing signs of intoxication or under the influence of a drug or narcotic. Individuals discharging these devices are responsible for their operation, flight, and consequences.
