(Boone, IA) — Boone police say charges are being filed against a suspect accused of leaving notes opposing Pride Day. Several residents told authorities about the notes left on their doors because they had some visible sign of support where they lived. One resident said they weren’t flying a Pride Flag, but they do have a rainbow-colored doormat. Police say every Boone resident who got a note had flags or doormats showing support for L-G-B-T-Q rights. The suspect hasn’t been identified publicly.
