(Missouri Valley) An Omaha, Nebraska man crashed his motorcycle while attempting to elude law enforcement.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened around 4:48 p.m. on Monday on County Highway L 20 north of County Road G14. Officials say 22-year old Matthew Valverde suffered injuries in the crash.
Authorities say Verde attempted to elude law enforcement and failed to negotiate a curve just north of G14 on L20. The 2003 Yamaha went off the road and came to rest in the west ditch.
Missouri Valley Rescue transported Valverde to the Missouri Valley Hospital.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri Valley Police Department, and Missouri Valley Rescue assisted the Iowa State Patrol.
