(Griswold) At Monday’s School Board meeting, the Griswold School Board approved a budget amendment following a public hearing.
Griswold Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs says two of the three amended line items could potentially exceed the budget certified a year ago. Those line items include; Instruction and Total Support Services.
The School Board agreed to amend the Total Support Services line item from 2-million-470-thousand-200 dollars to $5.2 million, and Instruction from 4-million-977-thousand-500 dollars, to $5.2 million.
The third line item fell under non-instructional or hot lunch. The increase amounted to $415,000, from $340,000 budgeted. The increase is due to a summer food program which not in play when the board approved the original budget.
