(Waukee) Brett Watson has been named head boys basketball coach for Waukee Northwest.
The school announced the hire in a press release this week. Watson is an Elk Horn-Kimballton graduate. He comes to Northwest after stops at ADM, Creston, Minot State University and most recently Indianola. In his four years at Indianola, Watson guided the Indians to a 66-24 record.
After finishing his high school career at Elk Horn- Kimballton as the 5th leading scorer in state history, he was a 4 year letter winner at Wayne State College.
Watson will also teach in the Waukee School District.
