(Atlantic) Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken said they have finished up a couple of bridge projects.
Wolken said the bridge repair on Jasper Road (“Hunts Bridge”) southwest of Atlantic is complete and that bridge will be open at the end of this week. And, the bridge deck overlay is finished on M56 southwest of Atlantic and that bridge opened last week.
Meanwhile, Wolken said just this week they closed a bridge on Boston Road a mile east of Highway 71.
Wolken said the next big bridge project coming up will be on Olive Street just south of the interstate.
Wolken said he appreciates the public’s patience with the road closures.
Wolken noted that they don’t have many road projects this year since they are mostly doing bridges. He said next year their biggest project will be on N28 between Highway 83 and Highway 92.
