(Hancock) A bridge replacement project starts tomorrow on Highway 59 south of County Highway G30 south Hancock. Crews will be installing a box culvert.
Scott Suhr, District #4 Transportation Planner, says the project requires closing the roadway to traffic for approximately 30-days. Suhr says motorists will be detoured around the work zone using County Roads G-30, M-47, Highway 6, and Highway 59.
The DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. Drivers are asked to stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
