(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board approved resignations and contracts and addressed two proposals in connection with the baseball and softball field during a special meeting on Wednesday.
The Board of Education approved the resignations of retiring para-educator Denise Sharp, and Food Service employees, Shannon Hayden, and Wynter Waltz. Additionally, the Board accepted the resignation of Kindergarten Teacher Rachel Larsen, contingent upon finding a suitable replacement.
The Board of Education also approved contract recommendations for Michelle Fritz, Special Education Teacher, Cheryl Andersen, English as a Second Language Teacher Coordinator, Terry Hinzmann, Summer School Supervisor, and Bob Gross, Volunteer Softball Coach.
The Board accepted two proposal requests in regards to the Athletic Facilities Improvement Project. They agreed to receive credit for not having Central Iowa Dirt replace the high school fence in its entirety, and approved lettering on the backstop pads for both fields.
The School Board also reviewed upcoming activities including, IASB Webinar-2021 Legislative Round-up for April 29th at 6:00 p.m, and IASB Webinar Series: News Standards for School Leaders.
The next regular Board Meeting is scheduled for May 12 at 6:00 p.m.
