(Red Oak) An Adams County man suffered injuries in an accident at the Red Oak Livestock Market on Saturday. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened at around 11:32 a.m. Authorities identified the injured man as Stanley W. Roberts of Corning.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Roberts was under a pickup trying short the solenoid to start it. This caused the pickup to move backward, with Roberts arm caught in the engine compartment. A passerby used blocks to stop the pickup.
Air Evac transported Roberts to UNMC in Omaha. Authorities believe Roberts’ injuries were non-life-threatening.
Red Oak Police and Red Oak Fire and Rescue assisted the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
