(Denison) Two teens were transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident in Crawford County Friday evening.
The Iowa State Patrol says 16-year-old Eduardo Gutierrez, of Denison, and 17-year-old August Boettger, of Arion, were driving at a high speed in the Denison High School parking lot. Boettger’s 2014 Chevy Silverado and Gutierrez’s 2004 Ford Ranger collided head-on. One of the vehicles caught fire.
Boettger was taken by personal vehicle to the Crawford County Hospital. Gutierrez was taken to the Crawford County Memorial Hospital by EMS personnel and later flown to UNMC by Life Net.
