(Anita) CAM school officials released the zoom link late last week for school district patrons wanting to attend the district’s facilities community meeting scheduled for this evening at 6:30 p.m. in Massena. The public has the option of attending in person or joining in online. (The online information, including the zoom link, is posted below).
The district goal is to create a plan to improve the district facilities for educational purposes for now and in the future. The process began with three public meetings in January 2020. But COVID-19 put a halt to the process. The district created a facilities committee, and they’re ready to get the ball rolling again.
“We want to hear from everyone, even those that don’t think we don’t need to do anything with the facilities,” said CAM Schools Superintendent Paul Croghan. “The entire process will be driven by the community.”
The process deals with where this district is now, where they want to go, and how they get there. The revenue option sources to pay for such improvements and keep pressure off the general fund include PPEL and SAVE dollars.
