(Area) Once temperatures warm up, mushrooms will be popping out of the ground.
Bryan Hayes with the Iowa DNR says it’s still a little bit early to hunt for morel mushrooms, but we are getting closer.
“I did get on one of those mushroom tracker sites, you can find them online, and actually saw a picture of a pretty nice group of mushrooms from the Council Bluffs area. Some warmer temperatures and a little more moisture would improve our outlook. It’s coming. There’s a lot of people that enjoy looking for those morel mushrooms.”
