(Harlan) The Lewis Central Boy’s edged Treynor for the team title at the Cyclones Ken Carstens Boy’s Invitational Track Meet at Harlan on Tuesday.
The Titans won four events and scored 133-points, and Treynor won five events and finished second with 132. Harlan was third, 105.50, Atlantic, fourth, 75.50, Underwood, fifth, 70, OABCIG, sixth, 61, Woodbine, seventh, 49, Denison-Schleswig, eighth, 40, Council Bluffs, Thomas Jefferson ninth, 29, St. Albert, tenth, 28, and Council Abraham, Lincoln, eleventh with 17.
The first-place finishers for Lewis Central were Ethan Eichorn, 1600, Hunter Deyo, Shot Put, the 4×800 Meter, and the 800 Sprint Medley Relays.
Noah James led Treynor with first-place finishes in the 110 Highs, 400 hurdles, high jump, and carried the baton on the second leg of the winning 4×400 meter relay along with Todd Petersen, Devin Vorthman, and Sid Schaaf. Additionally, Cole Dooley won the 3200.
Harlan won three events, Aiden Hall earned gold in the 100-meter dash in 11.16, Will Neuharth topped the field in the 200 meters in 23.68, and the quad of Mason Griffth, Will Neuharth, Cade Sears, and Aiden Hall won the 4×200 meter relay in a time of 1:33.61.
Highlights for Atlantic: Craig Alan Becker won the 800 Meters in 1:59.97. Colin Mullenix finished second in the 110 Meter Hurdles in 15.95, Garrett Reynolds finished fourth with a time of 16.75. Zane Vance was second in the 400-meter hurdles in 58.88, Colton Rasmussen was runner-up in the high jump clearing 5-80, and the Trojans scored a second-place finish in the 4×800 meter relay in a time of 9:07.76. The team members included; Bennett Whetstone, Jayden Proehl, Alex Sonntag, and Caden Andersen.
