(Audubon) The Audubon City Council will act at their regular meeting tonight to allow the City to charge for fire calls.
On March 11, the City Council passed the first reading of the ordinance. The Council tabled the resolution to ensure the ordinance passed before acting on the resolution.
Audubon City Clerk Joe Foran says most of the money collected will come through insurance companies. Under the resolution, a vehicle fire would cost up to $500.00, a grass fire up to $300.00, a structural fire up to $500.00, rescue calls and extractions up to $1,000.00.
The Council will also act on a resolution 21-15, the FY- 2022 budget amendment, Handi-cap parking request, discussion on the pool staffing hours, ordinance 755, a stop sign on South and 3rd Avenue, and resolutions, 21-22, Public Works Director Compensation, 21-23, City Clerk compensation, 21-24 hiring a new Police Chief, and discussion about a development agreement.
The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.
