(Des Moines) The Iowa House passed a Pharmacist Vaccination bill last week.
Iowa House District 21 Representative Tom Moore said this bill was spurred by COVID and the need to get as many people to administer the vaccine as possible. The bill allows pharmacists to provide testing for flu, strep and COVID -19 and allows pharmacists to administer COVID-19 vaccines and drug therapy management if prescribed by another practitioner.
Moore said this will help rural Iowa.
