(Audubon) The Audubon boys golf team begins the season next Saturday (April 10th) with a tournament at CAM.
The Wheelers have a couple of varsity returners from the last time they took the course. Coach Summer Wulf says, “We’ve got 11 boys total this year. Quite a few upperclassmen with four seniors, three juniors, and then we have two sophomores, and two freshmen. We have good numbers with us this year. Aiden Alt played varsity two years ago for a couple of meets and Taick Berger played a couple meets.”
Wulf outlines some of the other potential candidates to contribute. “I’m thinking we have a lot of good talent from Jay Remsburg, Joey Schramm, Carter Andreasen, and Teddy DuVall. A lot of good players.”
They’ve been working on their short game. “Practice has been good. We did have some not so great weather at the start of the season, but we’ve been able to get out on the course lately and play some holes. We have been working on our short game quite a bit and also some drives.”
