(Sioux City) Morningside’s bid to advance to the finals of the NAIA National Tournament came up short at the hands of top seeded Thomas More on Monday evening. The Mustang women’s basketball team suffered 65-62 loss.
Exira-EHK graduate Sophia Peppers made 3/8 three-point shots to score 9 points. The junior also had 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal.
Morningside had a lead in the 4th quarter, but was unable to come out on top. They end their year at 29-3.
