(Audubon) The Audubon School Board approved the tentative agreement with the Audubon Education Association at their meeting Monday evening.
Superintendent Eric Trager said they settled at a 2.5-percent increase.
In other action, the school board approved the FY22 School Calendar. Trager said they’re going to run a calendar exactly like this year’s calendar with corresponding dates.
Trager said board also approved hiring an additional Kindergarten teacher if necessary. He said if they have numbers like they expect to see it will make it necessary for them to hire a third Kindergarten teacher.
The board also approved hiring an additional Elementary Special Education Teacher. Trager said they are at 2 ½ teachers right now and they need to move up to three to serve those kids’ needs.
The School Board set the Budget Hearing for April 6th at 7:00 p.m. in the Boardroom at the High School.
The School Board also approved weight room equipment quotes, technology updates and softball field improvements. We’ll have more on that tomorrow.
