(Atlantic) The Atlantic Police Department arrested one person, another person was cited and released, and a warrant has been issued for a third suspect connected with the bar fight at the Fireside Lounge last month that sent two people to the hospital.
Atlantic Police arrested 29-year old Cody Christensen of Atlantic on Friday on Cass County Warrants for Disorderly Conduct and Assault Causing Bodily Injury. Authorities transported Christensen to the Cass County Jail. Another subject was charged, and warrants have been issued for Disorderly Conduct, Interference with Official Acts and Assault Causing Serious Injury. Police have not located the suspect. The police did not release his name. Additionally, 36-year old Ty Daniel Jordan of Exira was cited and released on a charge of Disorderly Conduct.
Atlantic Police Chief Dave Erickson says Officers were dispatched to the Fireside Lounge in the early morning hours of February 19 for a report of a fight in progress. When the officer’s arrived, they found two men unconscious on the floor. Cass County EMS transported the two men to the Cass County Memorial Hospital. One of the men, who police described as a victim, was later airlifted to a trauma center for treatment.
