(Marshalltown) The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Marshalltown Police Department is investigating a shooting incident.
The incident happened at around 3:07 this morning at the Casey’s General Store located at 111 North 3rd Avenue. When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. That person has died.
Officials are searching for an adult male leaving the area wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants. The suspect is possibly a Latino male with an accent and is described as being short in stature. Information about the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
The suspect has not been identified or located. Law enforcement encourages community members to be alert for suspicious activity and report concerns immediately by calling 9-1-1.
