(Clarinda) The Clarinda City Council last week gave their approval to hold the annual Air Show at the Clarinda Municipal Airport – Schenck Field.
According to the Council minutes, Merlin Barr requested holding the annual air show on Saturday, June 19th. He said that the EAA Windrider’s Club would like to sponsor the air show as they have in the past, except for the requirements regarding COVID-19 at that time. The Council unanimously approved the request.
In other action, the Council approved the bond purchase agreement for the sale of General Obligation Corporate Purpose and Refunding Bonds. City Manager McClarnon said this is the next step in the process in refunding current bonds and saving approximately $14,000 in interest for the city. McClarnon said this savings will allow for additional streets being resurfaced.
