(Griswold) Coming up on KSOM Friday night is Class 1A District Basketball contest between Griswold and Essex.
Two of Griswold’s four wins this season have come against the Trojans including a 68-37 victory for the Tigers on Tuesday night. Jayden Amend scored 31 points and Griswold posted their second highest offensive output all year. For the season, Amend averages 13.6 points per game while Adam Houser and Kamron Brownlee each contribute 9.8.
Essex enters the postseason at 2-19. Their two wins are against Cedar Bluffs and Clarinda Academy. Senior Tucker Hadden leads the team with a scoring average of 7.9 points per game.
Friday’s winner plays at top ten rated Tri-Center on Monday.
